The USDA is offering digital-transition grants for rural pubTV stations.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utilities Service will allocate up to $750,000 per station toward acquiring and installing digital broadcast equipment, provided that stations can match grant guidelines based on 2010 Census data. The awards are part of the ongoing Rural Digital grant program. Last year USDA gave transition grants to 10 rural stations. Deadline is Aug. 30; learn more about grant requirements and application details on the Grant Center page.
