Presented by the Atlantic Media Company in recognition of a late reporter, the award recognizes work published by a U.S.-based newspaper, magazine or website in the previous calendar year. Public media reporters who publish stories online are eligible to apply. The award is open to both individuals and teams of reporters. One winner and four finalists will be chosen from among the entries. The winner will receive $25,000; each finalist will receive $3,000. Entries are due by Feb. 3.
