Recent college grads can apply to become Naughton Fellows with the Poynter Institute.

One fellow will be selected to spend a year at Poynter’s headquarters in St. Petersburg, Fla., reporting and writing about the journalism industry and attending seminars. Those who will have graduated college by July 2013 are eligible to apply — the program runs from summer 2013 to summer 2014. Poynter is hoping to fill the position by Feb. 15. More info on how to apply can be found on Poynter’s jobs board.

The fellowships have a history of pinpointing future pubmedia talent: Matt Thompson, now editorial product manager at NPR, was a Naughton Fellow from 2003–04.
