Hungry audio producers are invited to submit “appetite”-themed work to Third Coast.

For its annual ShortDocs Audio Challenge, the Third Coast International Audio Festival is partnering with the James Beard Foundation to solicit entries inspired by the simple prompt of “appetite.” A submissions must be 2–3 minutes in length and contain three “courses,” and it must also work one of the five tastes — bitter, sweet, salty, sour or umami — into its title. The four winning entries will each inspire a dish created by a Chicago-based chef. Other prizes include a trip to the Third Coast Filmless Festival in October. Entries are due by April 30.
