On-demand Internet-radio company Stitcher is calling for nominations for its first-ever awards ceremony, and public radio programs and podcasts are eligible. When listeners visit the nominations page between now and Oct. 19 and log in through a Facebook account, they will be able to nominate any program from calendar year 2012 for an award. There are 20 categories, including Best Comedy, Best Science and Most Original Journalism. Voting on the nominees will take place Oct. 22–Nov. 9, with the winners to be announced at a live event in San Francisco at the end of the year, date TBD.
