The Federal Communications Commission, having recently passed a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking regarding its upcoming spectrum auction, will review information that it says will prove relevant both to broadcasters planning to participate in the auction and those who will not participate. Among the topics to be discussed: proposed auction designs, station eligibility, proposed band plans and possible approaches to repacking. The free, open-to-the-public workshop will be held at the FCC’s Washington, D.C. headquarters the afternoon of Oct. 26 and will be streamed live via Internet. More information and a link to the live stream can be found on the FCC’s website.
