Ebyline will fund journalists as they strive for “100 percent.”

The 100 Percent Journalism Challenge, sponsored by online freelancer-networking platform Ebyline and journalism trade magazine Editor & Publisher, will award up to $35,000 to a journalist, outlet or community group in pursuit of an ambitious story and willing to tackle the news from every conceivable vantage point. Any and all modes of communication — from writing to recording to cartooning — are acceptable for the project. Finalists will have to present their work to a panel of judges, who will decide how to split the prize money among up to three winners. The deadline is Oct. 12 at 11:59 p.m. EST, and winners will be notified by Dec. 12.
