CPB has extended the deadline for grant proposals for strengthening education reporting.

In the wake of Superstorm Sandy and the chill brought on by Nor’easter, CPB has pushed the deadline for its grant proposal request to Nov. 27 at 5:00 p.m. EST.

As part of its American Graduate initiative, CPB is looking to support public radio stations and producers who make education-focused content that aligns with the initiative’s programming strategy. CPB expects to award up to $1 million in grants. Stories can cover any aspect of America’s educational system, including the dropout crisis, and must include “innovative uses of online, mobile and social media.” More guidelines for grant proposals can be found in the request.
