The audio intensive workshop, subtitled “Gravity,” will be the second in a series of collaborations between the Association of Independents in Radio and Brooklyn-based documentary center UnionDocs. The workshop will be held in Brooklyn Dec. 17–21 and is geared toward working professionals who are experts in digital sound gathering, editing and mixing. Though those accepted to attend the intensive will have to pay $700 to cover the cost of the classes, AIR is throwing in other goodies, including a free six-month subscription to SoundCloud, a six-month trial run for Hindenberg’s Journalist Pro audio-editing software, and a stipend of up to $150 to accepted participants who live outside of New York City.
The application deadline is Oct. 26 at 11 p.m. EST.
