This is not your typical program director position. Oversee on-air music staff, production and multimedia teams at innovative listener-supported radio station in Milwaukee, WI. With a unique mix of rock, urban and local music, in addition to incorporating elements of public-radio-style first-person storytelling, RadioMilwaukee seeks a program director who understands and appreciates the best practices of both public and commercial radio. In addition to a minimum of 5 years’ experience in radio management, the ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, with music scheduling (Selector, Linker), automation (Enco, Axia), and sound editing and digital audio production (Pro Tools, Adobe Audition) experience, have a strong familiarity with current social media strategies, as well as a working knowledge of Arbitron ratings (including PPM). News Director

Senior Producer, Daily Talk Show
African-American Public Radio Consortium Washington, DC


The African-American Public Radio Consortium is seeking a Senior Producer with strong leadership skills to lead a small production team including an Associate Producer, freelance Editors/Bookers and a station-based Engineering/Production team for a personality-driven daily show with a gifted and dynamic talk show host. This person will function as a key decision-maker on the shape, look and sound of program and will initiate, plan and produce a daily show. He or she will be responsible for coordinating other show staff to initiate story ideas and plan show elements. Senior Producer must be able to write copy including drafts of hosts’ leads and other production copy, as well as headlines, teasers and other display copy for digital media. As this is a small team, there will be some amount of generating guests, commentators, music/film audio (for artists) as well as pulling and editing tape involved in the job. We are looking for a big-picture visionary who is a good communicator capable of organizing and motivating a team. Must be a creative problem-solver and be able to handle multiple and complex projects simultaneously under stringent timeframes and changing priorities/conditions. Executive Director

Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) seeks a proven entrepreneurial and visionary individual to lead with passion as Executive Director. The Executive Director reports to a Board of Directors and jointly they establish the vision of the organization. The Executive Director is responsible for securing and managing the resources needed to implement that vision and shall be a strong advocate for MPB locally, statewide and nationally. MPB is an agency of the State of Mississippi and is located in Jackson, MS. MPB has been designated a Sony/PBS High Definition demonstration site and has a complete HD production facility. MPB operates a state-of-the-art master control facility, has implemented HD Radio statewide, is the production home of the PBS children’s program Between the Lions, and has been designated a first responder by the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency to provide statewide emergency information. MPB looks to create more local programming that is relevant to Mississippians, to play an active role in children’s programming, and to seek national production opportunities. MPB expects to be an innovative leader in early childhood education as well as in telling the Mississippi story to national and international audiences. A successful candidate shall possess a college degree and proven leadership experience in strategic planning and human, financial and technical resource management of a diverse, mid- to large-sized organization; communication and media experience or expertise; exceptional communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills; and, preferably, government relations and fundraising experience. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Communications.
