This position oversees the local news service, and will develop, launch and produce a weekday half-hour radio/online news program. The News Director develops and oversees all multimedia news content consistent with KERA’s high standards of quality and journalistic integrity. Our ideal candidate will have experience in multimedia storytelling; excellent news judgment and editing skills; and strong collaboration skills to work with other KERA divisions and external content partners. This position plans and administers the news budget. Successful candidate will have a B.A. degree in journalism or evidence of significant professional accomplishment in journalism.
