Audience: Public radio’s share

Share = a station’s average quarter-hour audience expressed
as a percentage of all persons using radio in the time period. It compares a station's audience size to those of other stations in the radio market.

After years of strong growth, public radio's average share of the national radio audience peaked in 2003 at 5 percent.
