Phillips, a marketer and designer who has worked with nonprofits including the Bill of Rights Institute and the American Geophysical Union, joined Current as advertising/production director in November. She also teaches communications at Trinity University in Washington, D.C., not far from Current’s offices in Takoma Park, Md.
She succeeds Kelsang Menla, who recently switched to business/circulation director.
