Spare avatars for readers
Did you leave your face in the other computer?
Though Current asks readers to use their own names when they post comments online, faces are another matter. Upgrade from that gray default avatar to something that’s more you. Or less you.
You’re invited to use one of these images (or maybe a face somewhere in your computer) to accompany your especially persuasive remarks. See how to.
How to designate an avatar for comments on Current.org and other sites that take comments through Disqus
- Go to the Disqus link in the comment area under any Current.org story, and register to comment. Go to “My Profile”>”Add Avatar.”
- If you have already created a Gravatar at Gravatar.org as your regular avatar, you can have Disqus use it. Or tightly crop a square image in your computer and use it. Or copy an avatar from this page and save it in your computer — right-click it (with a Windows PC) or Control-click it (with a Mac). And follow Disqus directions to upload the image file as your avatar.
- If you use an image above, claim it as your own by notifying the avatar outfitter at stevebehrens (at) mac.com, and he’ll remove it from this page.
