NPR announced today that Tracy Wahl will become the new executive producer of Morning Edition. Wahl had been the program’s acting e.p. for six months, and oversaw its coverage of big stories including the Boston Marathon bombings. Lynette Clemetson, currently the director of the soon-to-be-discontinued StateImpact program, will become the show’s senior supervising editor, according to the release.

Additionally, Mark Stencel, NPR’s managing editor for digital news, is leaving his post to write a book. Stencel described the book to Poynter as a “Capitol Hill thriller” that he “started reporting on several years ago.”
